I had the honor of photographing Baby Gabe at 7 days old! Ahhh…he is just so cute!!

Baby Gabe’s mother is BEAUTIFUL!! Not only did Amanda look gorgeous and totally radiant, but she did an amazing job through the entire session. I never would have guessed she had given birth just one week prior!

Will is going to be an excellent big brother!!

Do you think Will is excited to have a little brother?

Family Photos in Minato-ku, Tokyo

Before the heat and humidity settled into Tokyo, I spent the afternoon running around Arisugawa Park with Kristin, Christian, Joseph, and Gracie. Less than a year ago this family made the big move from Wisconsin to Tokyo. With a 3 month old and a 2 1/2 year old, there is never a dull moment for Kristin and Christian as they adjust to life in a foreign country!

The day started off strong and everyone enjoyed taking couple of family portraits…

It didn’t take long before Joseph wanted to check out the park on his own, so we were constantly in motion chasing him around the park!!

Gracie is slightly less mobile than her big brother , so it was nice to be able to slow down and capture some sweet moments with mom and dad.

We let the kids entertain themselves (only kidding…Shawn was with us so he watched Joseph and Gracie), while I spent time with Kristin and Christian. I think they enjoyed a few minutes of being free from the kids! We joked about Shawn and I starting a babysitting business in Tokyo. I could have signed up my first clients on the spot!

Neve’s 1st Birthday in Tokyo!

After I completed the session with the entire family, my next focus was solely on the birthday girl!

What you can’t see in this photo is the wall of glass windows on the left side of the frame. Juliette had a great idea…she went outside and surprised Neve from the other side of the glass windows. I love Neve’s reaction to seeing her mom!

The dress Neve is wearing was also worn by her sisters for their 1st year portraits. In addition, Juliette’s mother has a tradition of giving each of the girls a personalized bracelet, which was the perfect accessory for the dress.

Family Photos in Arisugawa Park

I recently met up with Juliette, Ryan, Brynne, Reese, and Neve for a photo session in Arisugawa Park. This is definitely a family on the move! They have lived in a different city for each daughter’s 1st birthday and they have always had family photos taken as a part of the birthday celebration. I was honored when Juliette asked me to keep the tradition alive for Neve’s special day.

I think Neve is giving her family a “thumbs up” and letting them know how much she enjoyed spending her 1st birthday in Tokyo!

Brynne and Reese ended the afternoon with an ice cream cone from Baskin-Robbins!

Kaitlyn and Tyler in Shinjuku

A few days before Christmas, Shawn and I met up with some friends and their children, Kaitlyn and Tyler. We enjoyed a mild December afternoon in the park and had fun playing with the kids. I am so glad I brought my camera along and captured a few memories. I really don’t know if children can get any cuter than this!

Abby and Jason

After we completed the family photo session, Abby and Jason placed Deacon in his stroller and he instantly fell asleep. So, we quickly took advantage of the quiet time and captured a few memories of the super-fabulous new parents!

Yes…what a great looking couple!

Every time I look at the next few photos, I can’t help but smile. I just love how expressive Abby and Jason are! Well… Jason is still working on his ‘expressive side’!

Their laughter is definitely contagious…

Early in 2009, I was fortunate enough to capture memories for Abby and Jason when they were pregnant with their first child. Fast forward several months and we did another photo session, but this time with their adorable son Deacon. Without a doubt, Deacon is the epitome of a ‘happy baby’.

A beautiful family…a beautiful day…and beautiful fall colors. I hope you enjoy the photos!

Abby’s mom was visiting, so it was fun to include ‘Grandma’ in some of the memories!

I brought along ‘The Puppet Master’ as a secret weapon. The Puppet Master showed off his skills and kept everyone laughing through the entire session! Any ideas on who the secret weapon might be?

Family Photos in Shinjuku Chuo Park

In late November, I had the opportunity to photograph one of my MBA classmates at Shinjuku Chuo Park. I enjoyed getting to know the entire Izumi family and spending an afternoon in the beautiful fall weather!

Yuki brought bubbles…which was such a fun idea!
