Life in Japan :: Farewell

After living in Tokyo for 4 wonderful years, the time has come to say goodbye. Thank you to everyone we have met along the way…thank you for your patience…thank you for everything you have taught us…thank you for the countless memories. Words can not describe how appreciative we are for this experience. Leaving our friends and this beautiful country is not easy to do, but we are grateful we can take so many memories with us no matter where we are in the world. Japan will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

The next stop in life will take us to Thailand. My husband will begin a new assignment and we excitedly await the new adventure!

Family Photos at Zojoji Temple & Shiba Koen

I couldn’t have asked for a better afternoon at Zojoji Temple and Shiba Koen with Christian, Kristin, Joseph, and Gracie. Happy children, perfect weather and iconic locations in Tokyo make for wonderful memories!

The photo on the lower left is a common sight in Tokyo (notice the man walking 3 dogs). I am still amazed with how many people own dogs in the city!

The photo on the lower right was an unplanned, but very cute moment!

I am at a loss for what to say about the devastating events that have taken place in Japan. This simple tribute created by Jacob Cass is the perfect description of how I feel about the country I have called home for the past 4 years and a country that I love so much.
