Sunday, November 16 was the 30th anniversary and final running of the Tokyo International Women’s Marathon. We went to the Tokyo National Stadium to watch the finish of the race. It rained a little during the race, but it stopped for the finish (and the temps were ideal for the marathon).
The runners finished the race by entering the stadium and running one lap around the track. Below is the winner, Yoshimi Ozaki (2:23:30).
3rd place finisher and Tokyo resident, Mara Yamauchi finished in 2:25:03.
The awards ceremony was entertaining. The winner received so many gifts!
