Is it really December 1?

It’s hard to believe today is December 1 and Christmas is just a few weeks away!  Several of the stores in Tokyo are in the holiday spirit and you can hear the joyful sound of Christmas music playing throughout the city.  I even saw someone wearing an ugly Christmas sweater a few weeks ago!  Even though Christmas in Japan is purely for commercial reasons, it’s still nice to see the city get into the holiday spirit.

Since there is nothing better than Christmas music, I thought I would share some of our favorite tunes over the next few weeks!  (You have to love YouTube!!)

It’s always good to start out with a classic…

Maybe we will be lucky enough to have a white Christmas when we are back in the U.S. to celebrate the holidays!  I’ll take the “pretty snow”…not the kind of snow that is heavy enough to interrupt our travel plans or test our driving skills (which have not been used in 8 or 9 months!).  :)

.

This has nothing to do with Christmas, but I wanted to share a photo of what I will be posting this week.  I present to you…

Mt. Fuji (from a distance this time)
